Run Heavy Offense

Louisville’s offense goes as their running game goes. The Cardinals lean on the run about 57 percent of its plays. They have a dangerous running back in Jawhar Jordan, who averages 14 carries per game and 6.44 yards per carry.

They have another running back, Isaac Guerendo, who averages nine carries per game and 6.09 yards per carry. Louisville quarterback Jack Plummer has 78 carries on the season but isn’t very mobile.

FSU defenses tend to feast on guys who are not huge threats to run for big yardage. Two things were common denominators in the two Louisville losses this year. Their running game was shut down or contained, and its offense turned the ball over multiple times.

Aside from a few runs here and there, FSU has been fairly stout against the traditional running game this year.

This Louisville offense seems similar to the offense Florida runs(when they had their starting QB). FSU has faced good offensive lines and quality running backs a few times this year and done well. This aspect is a good sign for the Noles.
