Incredible Chin/Stamina/Depth

I’ve done this a few times on my podcast, referring to football games like boxing matches. In boxing or MMA, opponents usually take a round or two to feel one another out before really going at it.

Some fighters are defensive, others are pressure fighters, and some fighters can take a lot of punishment and keep coming. This FSU team seems to be what I’d call the modern day MMA fighter. They can fight anywhere, standing, on the ground, in the clinch.

Let me translate that into football terms. I mean they can take a team’s best shot and keep the pressure on until they fold (LSU, Duke, Clemson, Florida.)

They can blitz a fighter from the opening bell and put them away(Syracuse). FSU could be in those grueling back and forth fights on the ropes and get the win when they were not 100 percent through training camp(Boston College).

They seem to get stronger as the game goes on and can beat you on through the air or with the running game. The depth they have on both sides were truely an asset this season.

They are mentally as tough as they come and don’t commit a ton of boneheaded penalties.
