FSU football: 4-star OT commit Manasse Itete schedules OV to FSU
FSU football has done a tremendous job with constructing a legendary recruiting class in the 2024 recruiting cycle.
While some individuals feel as though the Seminoles can only obtain transfer portal prospects, the coaching staff is making its presence known on the recruiting trail as well.
Florida State is currently ranked as the third-best recruiting class in the 2024 recruiting cycle, according to 247Sports.
The program has twenty two prospects committed in the fold with headliners such as five-star safety KJ Bolden, five-star cornerback Charles Lester III, four-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek, four-star defensive end Armondo Blount, among others.
It helps when you have coaches such as offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins, who is regarded as one of the best recruiters on the staff.
Atkins has made his presence known on the recruiting trail this cycle where he acquired four quality offensive linemen in four-star offensive tackle Manasse Itete, four-star offensive tackle Jonathan Daniels, three-star Tye Hylton, and three-star Jayden Todd.
Speaking of Itete, he announced recently on social media that he will be officially visiting Florida State on the weekend of December 15th. This has massive implications as the Early Signing Period begins on December 20th.
The talented offensive tackle has been committed to the program since July 29th. He originally pledged to the USC Trojans on June 5th after officially visiting their campus.
It was certainly a strange recruitment given that the Seminoles were the obvious leader in the race for his services, and he even had an official visit scheduled at the end of that month.
Much of the main communication with the California native was created by Florida State General Manager Darrick Yray. He spent seven years at Oregon State before being hired by Florida State on February 2022.
Overall, it is great to see that Itete will be visiting due to the fact that the Seminoles will be hosting four-star safety Koi Perich (Minnesota commit) and four-star defensive end Lugard Edokpayi that weekend as well.
