Fourth-year head football coach Mike Norvell has had an up-and-down campaign during his tenure in Tallahassee. However, the program has exemplified patience even in periods of adversity. When the Seminoles suffered a loss to FCS opponent Jacksonville State in 2021, fans became weary of whether or not Norvell was the right man for the job.

However, he has continued to prove the doubters wrong as Florida State is now 26-6 in their last 32 games. The football team always expresses the phrase “response”. The head football coach has shown his squad that they can be successful if they continue to trust the process.

The football program sustained instability after former head football coach Jimbo Fisher elected to take an opportunity with Texas A&M then the program hired Willie Taggart, who was relieved of his duties after just 21 games.

It could have been easy not to trust the vision that the former Memphis coach had for the program, but the Seminoles now have the ball running in the positive direction to compete for a College Football Playoff berth.
