Turnover Margin

The Florida Gators have lost four consecutive games, three of those teams ranked inside the top 14. They lost two of the four teams by a combined five points.

Florida had three turnovers in those two games. They average one turnover per game through 11 games (seven fumbles lost and four interceptions).

Eight percent of their offensive drives end in a fumble or interception. The FSU defense ranks No. 11 according to FEI advanced metrics and has done a solid job forcing turnovers this year.

They have eight interceptions and have recovered seven fumbles (forcing 10 fumbles). We’ll talk about Florida’s offense in a bit, and I’m sure they’ll look to take a more conservative approach with an inexperienced guy at QB.

There is a luck component to getting turnovers, teams either seem to turn it over consistently or not. There’s a pattern of about one each game for the Gators.

They’ve only had two games where they didn’t turn the ball over this year.
