Tate Rodemaker Showed Capable

We’ve seen Tate Rodemaker lead the Noles from a deficit against legitimate competition last season against Louisville.

Tate came into the game after Jordan Travis left and led the Noles down to the North Alabama one-yard line but had to settle for a field goal. Tate Rodemaker can spin it. His ball has a higher velocity than Jordan Travis.

However, his deal will be navigating things at the line of scrimmage and in the pocket. At times, Rodemaker seemed almost too composed moving in the pocket with defenders around him. He’ll take more sacks than Jordan Travis because he’s not as mobile.

However, if the offensive line can give Rodemaker time? He can make all the throws and displayed some major arm talent Saturday night.

Now, it was against an FCS defense. However, Florida’s defense isn’t exactly top-tier next week. Mike Norvell will need to call plays to Rodemaker’s strengths, and Rodemaker has to avoid putting the ball in harm’s way.

If they can do that, I think they have a great shot to beat Florida and Louisville.
