Some Young Guys Shined

I’ll start with Tate Rodemaker. He’s not necessarily a young guy, but he’s not a starter and showed some moxy after an unsettling start when he came into the game.

I’ll talk more about him later. One young player that caught my eye was freshman running back Samuel Singleton. It was Singleton’s first action all season, and he finished with 52 yards on six carries.

He had a long run of 24 yards and didn’t hesitate or dance around in the backfield. He ran hard and hit the holes hard for positive yardage.

Freshman Vandrevious Jacobs had a big 28-yard reception. Caziah Holmes continues to impress with the limited reps he gets. He had 24 rushing yards and a touchdown. Holmes also had two receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown.

CJ Campbell showed burst on his 70-yard touchdown run that I didn’t know he had. If Benson isn’t available next week, FSU will have lots of bodies to throw at Florida.

Freshman linebacker Blake Nichelson had three tackles, and redshirt freshman Daniel Lyons had three tackles.

Brock Glenn came into the game before AJ Duffy, which likely is the writing on the wall for Duffy. Glenn looked shaky early, but unleashed some laser throws and scored a rushing touchdown.
