No Turnovers Was Huge

One of the major goals in defeating the Miami Hurricanes was the offense not turning the ball over.

FSU did a great job protecting the ball, and Miami defenders were playing physically and trying to dislodge the ball on runs and after big pass plays.

I can’t think of any throws that were in danger of getting intercepted. The only time FSU came close to turning the ball over was when a punt touched Keon Coleman, and he fell on the ball to maintain possession.

Miami is a defense that thrives off forcing turnovers, and they’ve lost every game against a Power 5 opponent that they have lost the turnover battle.

Miami was looking for opportunities to capture momentum in the game, and a turnover would have probably kicked up their intensity another notch.

It was good that never happened, and FSU captured the victory.
