No. 4 FSU football defeated a scrappy Pittsburgh Panther team 24-7 Saturday to remain undefeated and clinch a spot in the ACC Championship game for the first time since 2014. It was a frustrating game to watch in many respects.

FSU played the game without two of its best offensive players, Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman. It’s the first time FSU has played without both receivers at the same time. Some of the frustration probably lies in the fact Pittsburgh got blasted by Notre Dame 58-7 last week.

However, if you didn’t watch that game, you wouldn’t know Notre Dame scored two defensive touchdowns, and Pittsburgh turned the ball over five times.

There’s probably some thought FSU will get penalized for its performance by the College Football Playoff Committee. However, Ohio State didn’t look great against Rutgers, and Georgia didn’t blow the doors off Missouri.

It was a road game against a top third defensive unit nationally(Pitt ranked No. 33 in defensive FEI before the game). FSU has Miami on deck next week, and I’m sure some fans believe this performance will carry over into that game.

It won’t.

Here are three major overreactios to the win over Pittsburgh.
