No. 3 best Florida State basketball NBA career: Scottie Barnes

Scottie Barnes is still just getting his career started, but he started it in the best possible way, winning the 2022 NBA Rookie of the Year. After just one year at Florida State, primarily coming off the bench, the 6-foot-9 guard was drafted fourth overall by the Toronto Raptors.

At FSU, Barnes was All-ACC and the ACC Sixth Man of the Year. In the NBA, he started for the Raptors right away and averaged 15.3 points, 3.5 assists, and 7.5 rebounds as a ball-handling point forward.

Barnes has yet to take the leap into NBA superstardom and his lack of an outside shot is the one thing holding him back. If Barnes can develop as a scorer then he will quickly turn into one of the very best players in the NBA.
