Is Michigan Going To Be Held Accountable?

Many talking heads call Michigan the most dominant team in the 2023 season through nine weeks.

Part of that is they haven’t played anyone, not one ranked team, but news broke recently that a Michigan staffer went to great lengths to cheat and steal signs to gain an edge against Michigan opponents and potential opponents.

If you’re an FSU football fan, you’re aware of what it’s like for an opposing team to know what you’re going to run. All you have to do is look at the 2013 National Title game against Auburn when former FSU QB coach Damayne Craig knew what plays FSU would run on offense.

The greatest offense in college football history looked anemic in the first half. However, once Jimbo Fisher changed how plays got called, the FSU offense exploded in the second half and averaged nearly seven yards per play in their comeback win over Auburn.

How much has this sign-stealing helped Michigan’s defense? Will the CFP committee overlook that edge gained and rank them anyway?

Are they as good as think, not to mention they haven’t played a top team yet?
