FSU football is preparing for its road matchup this week against the struggling Pittsburgh Panthers, who lost last week to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish by a score of 58-7.

While the Seminoles need to remain focused at task of defeating the Panthers, it is difficult not to look ahead for their matchup against arch-rival Miami Hurricanes.

The ACC just announced that Florida State’s contest versus Miami on Saturday, November 11th will be televised on ABC. The time has not been announced yet as the ACC has it six day optioned where the time will be announced on Saturday afternoon/Sunday morning.

Nonetheless, this should be a fantastic home environment for the Seminoles as they travel back home to Doak Campbell Stadium after two road games against Wake Forest and Pittsburgh.

During the offseason, fans were circling the rivalry game against Miami as a contest to attend. The home slate was not regarded as rewarding for the fans, even though Duke exceeded expectations from their 9-4 campaign in 2022.

Several highly-touted recruits will be in attendance for the Miami game as the Seminoles look to build upon their No. 4 recruiting class in the 2024 cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. They will also be developing relationships with a variety of 2025 and 2026 prospects as well.

Overall, it should be an exciting environment for the Seminoles’ fanbase as Doak Campbell Stadium will most likely be electric, whether it is a noon (I hope not…), 3:30 PM, or a night kickoff.

Florida State will be looking to beat Miami for the third straight season. The Seminoles defeated the Hurricanes by a score of 45-3 in last season’s matchup, and they will be looking to do much of the same against an opponent who has been wildly inconsistent this season.

Head football coach Mike Norvell and company understand the importance of capitalizing on this rivalry matchup.
