Jordan Travis Beginning To Peak At Right Time

FSU quarterback Jordan Travis seems to be finding the form that made him one of the most electric players in the nation last season.

I rattled off some of his stats from the performance against Wake Forest. However, the bigger picture from the last three games is the main point. Travis has completed 72 of 108 passes for 911 yards, with six touchdowns and one interception.

He’s starting to use his legs a little bit more, rushing 24 times for 86 yards and four rushing touchdowns over the last three games.

The latter is the difference-maker for the FSU offense. When Jordan Travis uses his legs effectively, the FSU offense is nearly unstoppable.

The timing couldn’t be more perfect, as FSU will have two rivals looking to stop their undefeated season in two of their four remaining games. The crazy part is Jordan Travis still has room for improvement, as he has missed a few open throws over the past couple of weeks.

However, he’s also been playing without one of his biggest weapons in, Johnny Wilson. I would expect Wilson to return for the Miami game, which would give Travis all of his weapons, provided nothing crazy happens against Pittsburgh next week.
