FSU football took care of business early in their 41-16 blowout win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

Wake Forest won the toss and deferred to the second half, and the FSU offense went 75 yards on nine plays to get on the board first.

That drive was a foreshadowing of what was to come. The FSU offense made it look easy on that particular drive, but at times got lucky when they didn’t execute assignments.

That was the offense for much of the day, with penalties or other things derailing offensive drives against an inferior opponent. However, the game was never close, which is something FSU fans have not been able to say in the last three matchups against the Demon Deacons.

FSU led 34-7 at halftime, with Jordan Travis putting up stats worthy of full games in the first half.

Defensively, aside from a few plays, the Wake Forest offense had nothing to offer as several defensive players padded their stats.

FSU continues to rotate a lot of players as they look to continue building quality depth. Here are my three major takeaways from the game.
