FSU football will be taking on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons today at 12PM EST in the hostile confines of Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium (“Snuggie Hill”).

The Seminoles will be looking to overcome their previous three straight losses to the Demon Deacons.

Fans love to discuss uniform combinations for the various games of the season. On Thursday night, Wake Forest announced that they would be wearing their all-black uniform combination in their matchup, which features black helmets, black jerseys, and black pants.

This selection of uniform created a discussion among the fanbase as to what Florida State will wear in the game. Those questions were answered on Saturday morning as the Seminoles announced that they would be wearing their all-white uniform combination, which featured white helmets, white jerseys, and white pants.

I realize that there are fans out there that just wanted to see the Seminoles wear the traditional gold helmets, white jerseys, and gold/garnet pants. While I am also a traditionalist when it comes to uniforms (the garnet and gold is one of the best combinations in all of college football), I realize that it does not matter what uniform the team wears… they are still Florida State.

There are some individuals out there that suggest that it is bad luck if Florida State goes against the grain with their uniforms. However, that thought process is completely unreasonable.

The Seminoles wore the all-white uniform combination for their road matchup last season against the Louisville Cardinals where backup quarterback Tate Rodemaker had to come in the game in relief to ensure a Seminoles’ 35-31 victory.

Hopefully, the fanbase does not have quite the scare this time as the Demon Deacons are 20.5-point home underdogs to head football coach Mike Norvell and company.

It is time for the Florida State Seminoles to finally end their three-game skid against Wake Forest.
