TE Jaheim Bell

Bell is an impact player that I mentioned in last week’s matchup against Syracuse. In this article, I mentioned about how the talented tight end needed to put back-to-back good performances together after recording four receptions for 87 yards against the Orange.

He did that and so much more on Saturday as he recorded eight catches for 53 yards. While he didn’t have a touchdown, he had a big 15-yard catch to set up the Seminoles late in the first quarter to put Florida State in the red zone.

This set up quarterback Jordan Travis’ touchdown pass to running back Caziah Holmes to cut the Duke lead to 10-7 with 13 seconds to go in the first quarter.

Bell was not just lined up as a tight end, he was also utilized as a wide receiver on the outside as well as at the running back position. While he did not have a rushing attempt, he was someone that Duke’s defense had to pay attention to.
