Defense Set The Tone Early

I’m not worried about the defense because they have been the most consistent unit between them and the offense all season. Whether Riley Leonard plays or not, I need the FSU defense to set the tone early with physicality and pressure on the Duke offense.

If Duke has to play their backup quarterback, it should be more of the same game plan they’ve used the last two weeks. He’s not a guy that’s going to consistently dropback and light you up with his arm, but look to use his legs.

If Riley Leonard trots out there to start the game, it’s a must to test his mobility and hit him early and often. I’m not saying go out there looking to injure him further, but if he’s game enough to try to play, it’s fair to make him regret that decision when they lose the FSU game and control their destiny because of games against UNC and Louisville.

If the FSU defense gets off to a fast start and the offense can build a early lead? It’s curtains for a one-dimensional team.
