RB Trey Benson

The former Oregon running back transfer had himself an afternoon as he recorded 11 rushing attempts for 200 yards and two touchdowns. This was exactly the performance that FSU fans were waiting for as he entered the contest with 40 carries for 189 yards.

The running game has certainly been a question mark for the Seminoles as they wondered why Benson has not showcased his skillset thus far through four games. But on Saturday afternoon, he let everyone in Doak Campbell Stadium that he is ready to return back to his 2022 form where he finished with 990 yards and nine touchdowns.

The acceleration, ability to run through wimpy tacklers, and vision were notable traits that Benson possessed on Saturday. Here’s to hoping that continues throughout the rest of the 2023 season.
