Five-star DE Zion Grady

Defensive end is such a premier position in college football that cannot be underestimated. The Seminoles have two excellent pass rushers on their current roster is redshirt junior Jared Verse and redshirt sophomore Patrick Payton. However, Verse will likely be departing after the 2023 season to declare for the NFL Draft.

Nonetheless, FSU needs to finish on there recruitments for highly-touted defensive end prospects. Fans saw what happened last recruiting cycle when four-star defensive end Keldric Faulk flipped his commitment from the Seminoles to the Auburn Tigers. While Lamont Green Jr. and Jaden Jones are supremely talented, Faulk would have been a pivotal piece as well.

In the 2025 recruiting cycle, the coaching staff has their sights set on five-star defensive end Zion Grady from Charles Henderson High School in Troy, Alabama. While it is might be an in-state battle between Auburn and Alabama, Florida State is not letting up in its pursuit of Grady, who has already visited the Seminoles twice during the calendar year.
