Virginia Tech Impact Players

The Seminoles certainly cannot take this Virginia Tech Hokies team lightly as every team for the rest of their schedule will give their A+ effort against Florida State, especially head football coach Brent Pry and company who is coming off a massive victory against the Pittsburgh Panthers. Here are some impact players that I would monitor for Virginia Tech:

QB Kyron Drones

RB Bhayshul Tuten

LB Keli Lawson

I have already discussed the impact of Drones. He is someone to monitor for the Seminoles’ defense given his playmaking ability. However, let’s not forget about running back Bhayshul Tuten, who had 24 carries for 109 yards in their last game. The Seminoles’ rush defense has been solid this season where they rank 57th in the FBS in allowing 128.8 rushing yards per game. The defensive line will need to assert their dominance early and often to ensure that the Hokies’ offense is one-dimensional. As for the defensive side of the football, linebacker Keli Lawson is the leader of the unit with 48 total tackles. If the Seminoles want to be successful running the football with Benson and company, they will have to account for where Lawson is on the field at all times.

Hopefully, everyone can leave Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday afternoon with a smile on their face after their performance against the Hokies.
