FSU football: 3 reasons Noles in perfect position to peak at right time

Continuity/Injuries
One of the biggest factors affecting the offense is continuity and injury issues. Offensive lines with continuity usually perform at optimal levels provided everyone is healthy.
FSU has several new guys trying to fit into the scheme while working around two starters missing time with injuries. The more reps they get together, the better the unit will become. If FSU can get those two starters back? The level of play should improve, and they’ll have better depth.
Again, the teams on the upcoming schedule allow a greater margin of error for finding the right combinations on the offensive line.
They also avoid running Jordan Travis to death, which should keep him as close to healthy as possible as they come down the homestretch. If they get to games where they have to use him a great deal in the run game, he’ll be ready.
A healthy Jordan Travis, plus an offensive line that’s gotten a lot of reps together over the next few weeks, puts FSU in a prime position to function at a higher level consistently.
A healthy Akeem Dent improves the defense a great deal, but the next few games should allow more opportunities for the team to build depth on defense.
