FSU football: In-depth on defensive performances against LSU/Clemson

Parting Thoughts
I know fans are screaming for Adam Fuller to make adjustments before halftime, but it takes a while to see exactly what teams have prepared for you.
Mike Norvell confirmed Clemson threw some stuff at them they hadn’t seen before(plus Clemson has a new OC and little footage on Cade Klubnik).
It’s not ideal to start blitzing like crazy from the jump and give up 1-2 easy scores on busted plays. However, once you have a feel for what they’re trying to do, it’s easier to make the adjustment, and that’s what Adam Fuller’s doing.
The crazy thing is the FSU defense has only allowed four touchdowns in the first half of these two games, and two of those touchdowns came on short fields because the offense went three-and-out, giving the ball to the opposing offense at midfield.
I didn’t include the Boston College game because that game is an outlier, with much of the team playing with the flu, and they relaxed after getting a huge lead. Many of the issues stem from Akeem Dent missing action with his injury and Kevin Knowles missing tackles or not executing his job, which is real similar to the run defense looking suspect when Fabien Lovett went down with his injury last season.
All in all, this defense is much better than last year, and I believe the numbers will bear that out as the season progresses and Akeem Dent rejoins the lineup.
