5. WR Winston Wright Jr.

The former West Virginia transfer missed the 2022 season after he suffered a season-ending lower-body injury from a car accident in the offseason. The Seminoles had high expectations, given his proven production with the Mountaineers. During the 2021 season with West Virginia, Wright Jr. had 63 receptions for 688 yards and five touchdowns. He was also a factor on special teams, where he recorded 25 kickoff returns for 618 yards and one touchdown.

There are usually mental hurdles that individuals have to endure when players go through injuries. Questions race through their minds of a possible re-injury or thoughts about whether they will ever get back to their own selves. Head football coach Mike Norvell has been trying to exemplify confidence in the talented pass catcher in practice, where he has been pushing him to be his best.

The Seminoles have slowly gotten Wright Jr. involved in the kickoff return duties where he has three returns for 74 yards. However, his receiving production has not been much, where he only has four receptions for 36 yards. I expect that number to rise as the Seminoles get into the meat of their schedule.
