FSU football is preparing for its ACC season opener against the Boston College Eagles in the confines of Alumni Stadium at Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The game will still go as scheduled for a noon eastern time kickoff, even with the looming concerns of Hurricane Lee.

The Seminoles are looking to build upon their positive momentum after defeating then-No. 5 LSU Tigers by a score of 45-24 and Southern Miss by a score of 66-13, respectively.

Unfortunately, the Boston College Eagles have not had a great season to their 2023 campaign after suffering a season-opening overtime defeat to Northern Illinois by a score of 27-24 at home. However, the Eagles did avenge their loss by beating Holy Cross in nail-biting fashion by a score of 31-28.

This contest looks to be two teams trending in opposite directions as the Seminoles look like one the best teams in the country, while the Eagles seem to be going through the motions under the guidance of fourth-year head football coach Jeff Hafley.

With their being windy conditions and possible precipitation from the hurricane, it feels this will be a contest that FSU will establish the running game early and often with ultra-productive Trey Benson. The Boston College Eagles’ defensive unit ranks No. 121 in the FBS in rush defense, where they allow 215 rushing yards per game.

Quarterback Jordan Travis will likely not have to do too much in this contest with the utilization of his arm. The Seminoles’ defensive unit will also need to find a way to slow the Eagles’ rushing attack in Kye Robichaux and Pat Garwo II.
