FSU football: 3 things to know about Boston College in 2023

Boston College QB is scrambler
Boston College quarterback Thomas Castellanos is a player some FSU football fans will remember from the recruiting world. The Noles recruited him as a running back a couple of years ago, but he wanted to play quarterback and committed to UCF before transferring to Boston College.
Thomas Castellanos checks in at 5’10” and about 195 pounds. I think Adam Fuller said he’s like a slot receiver but has the ball in his hands. I don’t think he meant it as disrespect, but the stats reflect the sentiment.
He has completed 58 percent of his passes, averaging 6.6 yards per attempt through two games. He only completed 56 percent of his passes, averaging 4.7 yards per attempt last season at UCF in six games. This is the type of stuff you have to deal with while he’s playing QB:
The weather expected will likely limit his game quite a bit, and the Boston College offensive line isn’t going to give him that much time to throw against FSU. However, he’ll likely make a couple of plays with his legs that will frustrate FSU fans.
He’s their leading rusher with 136 rushing yards on 25 carries and one touchdown.
