Brock Glenn Looks To Have Passed AJ Duffy On The Depth Chart

FSU football coaches haven’t listed quarterbacks on the depth chart beyond Jordan Travis and Tate Rodemaker. I figured the Southern Mississippi game would be one where the backup players would see significant reps.

Rodemaker was the first backup in the game, as expected, and looked sharp, going 3-3 with 73 yards and two touchdown passes. The question was, which young QB would go into the game once Tate Rodemaker came out?

We received our answer when freshman Brock Glenn went into the game next instead of redshirt freshman AJ Duffy. Glenn only played one drive, running for 34 yards on his first play and losing two rushing yards on the next play before Caziah Holmes scored on a 40-yard touchdown run. AJ Duffy came in on the next and final FSU drive.

The offense got a first down behind two CJ Campbell runs, and AJ Duffy scampered for a nine-yard run before getting sacked on back-to-back plays to end the drive.

It probably wasn’t a good look to be second and one and not get another first down or to lead a scoring drive the way Glenn did. We’ll see what happens in the next blow out, but we likely have our answer on the QB depth chart after Rodemaker.
