FSU football: 3 things to improve going into Southern Miss game
By Kelvin Hunt
No turnovers
FSU only had one turnover in the LSU game, but it was a costly because it gave the ball right back to LSU after they had committed one that gave FSU prime field position to score.
FSU recovered a muffed punt at the LSU 22-yard line and threw an interception on the first offensive play.
FSU got lucky they didn’t turn the ball over with another interception a short time later, when Jordan Travis threw an uncharacteristic pass while under pressure that likely should have been a pick-6 or intercepted to put LSU in the red zone to score.
FSU only lost three games last year but had a costly turnover in all three games, so that’s something they’ll want to eliminate as they go up against better competition.
I understand turnovers have some randomness and luck involved, but I hope to see a clean game Saturday night against Southern Mississippi.
