FSU football coach Mike Norvell is as strategic as they come and seems to know when to maximize opportunities. FSU had upwards of 60 or more recruits at the LSU game in Orlando Sunday night.

It’s a top 10 matchup against a known opponent, so common sense would say it’s an optimal environment to host top recruits(even though the coaches technically couldn’t have contact with them).

However, it’s something Mike Norvell has done even before FSU was a top program. He had a ton of top recruits to visit Tallahassee during the 2021 season opener against No. 10 Notre Dame when they were underdogs.

That game went into overtime, and FSU had a chance to win it. He had a ton of top recruits to visit Tallahassee during the 2021 Miami game when the Noles were underdogs and FSU won the game outright.

He had recruits at the 2022 LSU game in Louisiana last year, and the Noles won the game outright. Sunday night, FSU football blew the doors off of No. 5 LSU in an environment that was undeniably electric.

Any recruit in attendance had to be impressed with what they saw, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it pay dividends later.
