Competition Breeds Confidence

This fall camp had to have been the most competitive camp since Mike Norvell became head coach at FSU football in December 2019.

It’s probably the most competitive camp since 2013. I say that because we know Jimbo Fisher stopped holding players accountable, and the culture began falling off after the 2013 season.

The practices under Willie Taggart were not as organized, nor did you have the talent to maxmizie the competition that FSU does now.

All you hear from the players is how they compete, and iron sharpens iron, and how they’re looking to improve with each and every practice.

Coach Norvell says confidence comes from the work, and he doesn’t seem short on confidence in this team because he knows how much work they’ve put in.
