3. DB Kevin Knowles II

Fans understand the depth issue associated with the Florida State Seminoles after redshirt junior Jammie Robinson elected to declare for the 2023 NFL Draft.

As a result, first-year defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. will have to rely upon redshirt senior Akeem Dent and redshirt sophomore Shyheim Brown as the likely starting contributors at the position.

The coaching staff understood they needed more veteran presence in the position room. As a result, they decided to move junior cornerback Kevin Knowles II over to safety. The Hollywood (Fl.) native had a productive 2022 campaign with the Seminoles, where he started 11 of their 13 games, recording 24 tackles and one interception.

Redshirt junior defensive back Greedy Vance Jr. has progressed nicely at the nickel cornerback position this offseason, which ultimately seemed to lead the staff to believe that Knowles II could be utilized in other methods on the defensive unit.

We have already seen defensive back Renardo Green benefit from a position change, and I believe that Knowles II could have a similar impact if he puts everything together.
