The expectations for FSU football are at the highest they’ve been in a long time. FSU has a gazillion players making national watch lists.

The majority of ACC schools are mad at FSU because they want to leave the conference. FSU opens the 2023 season in a top-10 matchup against LSU. In the words of one of the best double albums of all time, FSU football feels like “All Eyes On Me.”

FSU started the season surprising some folks with its win over LSU and starting the season 4-0. A middle-season slump, losing three consecutive games against ranked teams painted a picture that’s affecting the team’s perception even though they rattled off six straight wins afterward, including beating both rivals.

We saw the offense play at elite levels at times last season with lesser talent, which is why the expectations surrounding the offense this year are greater with player development and additions from the transfer portal.

The defense wasn’t bad last year, considering they had several starters out or playing hurt most of last year. However, the defense returns a ton of starters and some key additions from the transfer portal. Would it surprise some folks if FSU went 12-0, probably.
