FSU football has officially completed one week of the 2023 fall camp. The Noles traveled to Jacksonville at the University of North Florida for their annual mini-camp to simulate a different environment and make the players uncomfortable while fostering opportunities for personal and team growth through group activities.

Players have communicated the experience has been helpful each year they go there, often posting on social media about the experience.

Mike Norvell has seemed pleased with what he’s seen through week one overall. I can only think of one day where he mentioned it was a solid day, but the overall energy wasn’t where it needed to be the entire time.

Other than that, Norvell has praised the team for their commitment to work, the players leading players, and praising players that been standing out at practice.

The expectations for this team are at the highest they’ve been since the 2017 preseason when the Noles opened that season against Alabama.

By all accounts, this team looks much different than any FSU team in the Mike Norvell era. It should, going into his fourth year, but its seems like there’s a chance for this team to do some special things.

Let’s discuss some of the major takeaways from week one of 2023 fall camp.
