Jeremiah Byers

Another transfer offensive lineman, UTEP’s Jeremiah Byers, checks in at the No. 10 spot. I don’t care what type of talent you have at the skill positions, but if you can’t block it up, it won’t matter much in the long run.

The addition of Byers from the portal provides FSU with someone with over 30 college starts and the ability to play multiple positions.

Byers played primarily at right tackle for UTEP, but will likely play on the interior for the Noles. He checks in at 6’4″ and 329 pounds and will play a key role in FSU’s ability to move the line of scrimmage in predictable downs.

I think he’s an upgrade athletically over what FSU had in year’s past. I think he’ll likely start for the Noles this year, and his versatility will be invaluable.
