FSU football already has its quarterback of the future in four-star Luke Kromenhoek from Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia.

Kromenhoek has been consistently putting his recruiting hat on for the Seminoles as they look to build upon their No. 13 ranked recruiting class, according to 247Sports Composite.

We already wrote a piece on the talented quarterback recruiting the likes of five-star offensive tackle target Jonathan Daniels on his June 23rd official visit with the Seminoles.

The Seminoles have loaded on the offensive side of the football to complement Kromenhoek for years to come. However, the Savannah (Ga.) native is also making his mark on the defensive side as well.

Florida State defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has done a nice job expanding the target board, acquiring four-star cornerback Ricky Knight III and three-star safety Rydarrius “Red” Morgan to pair alongside four-star safety CJ Heard.

But the Seminoles are far from over with acquiring other defensive back prospects in this recruiting cycle.

Kromenhoek understands that FSU is aggressively pursuing the services of five-star safety KJ Bolden and five-star cornerback Charles Lester III.

KJ Bolden

Let’s start with discussing five-star safety KJ Bolden from Buford, Georgia. He will announce his commitment on August 5th between the following five schools: Florida State, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, and Ohio State.

Unfortunately, it does not look good in this recruitment for the Seminoles as the Georgia Bulldogs’ five-star quarterback commit, Dylan Raiola, has transferred to his high school at Buford. Hopefully, FSU can have a wonderful season in 2023 and continue to stay in the mix even if he were to choose the Bulldogs on August 5th.

Charles Lester III

We have already discussed Lester III ad nauseam, but he is still very important in constructing Florida State’s 2024 recruiting class. He currently has five crystal ball predictions in favor of the Seminoles. Lester III will decide on July 28th between Florida State, Alabama, Georgia, and Colorado.

According to the 2024 247Sports’ recruiting rankings, Lester III lists as the second best cornerback prospect in the cycle.

FSU has not signed a cornerback prospect of that caliber since five-star Lavonta Taylor signed with the Seminoles in 2016.
