FSU football 2024 blue-chip target Micahi Danzy sets commitment date
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football coaches have done a great job putting the pieces of the 2024 recruiting class together.
FSU will likely have 15 commitments by the end of the July 4th holiday, with several more blue-chip targets waiting to announce their decisions.
One of those targets is blue-chip athlete Micahi Danzy, who is getting recruited to play running back at FSU.
The local Tallahassee product has been trending towards the Noles, and will announce his commitment decision on July 15th:
Danzy ranks as the No. 194 player and the No. 13 athlete nationally. He lists as the No. 31 player in the Sunshine State. Danzy is a long and slender running back with outstanding speed who’ll likely fill the Lawrence Toafili role if he chooses the Noles.
Danzy in the open field against linebackers in coverage would be unfair, with legitimate track times of 10.89 in the 100-meters.
He would be the second running back in the 2024 class, alongside four-star Kameron Davis. It would be one of the better running back classes in the nation. A Danzy commitment would also end a trend of local blue-chip players from the Tallahassee area going elsewhere to continue their college careers.
The commitment would also continue FSU’s momentum in early July, with an expected commitment from five-star Charles Lester on July 28th. All in all, FSU could gain up to eight commitments in July alone and would likely rank well inside the top 10 nationally if they land all of their expected targets. A Danzy commitment would complete what he coaching staff needs at the running back position, which means they could focus attention on other positions down the stretch toward the Early Signing Period. Danzy has four crystal ball predictions favoring the Noles. Two crystal ball predictions have a six confidence, and the other two have seven.
