FSU football already has one of the top 2024 recruiting classes, with a 64 percent blue-chip ratio. FSU will have multiple blue-chip players on campus for their official visits this weekend, including five-stars Charles Lester and Jeremiah Smith.

That’s not all, they will have a double-digit amount of blue-chip players and commits on campus next weekend, so the 2024 recruiting class should get even better as we approach the season opener against LSU.

However, the staff is concentrating on more than the 2024 recruiting class. They continue to get hoards of high-quality 2025 blue-chip players on campus.

Here’s a look at some of the guys they’ve gotten on campus recently, not to mention how many guys they got on campus this spring:

  • WR Jamie Ffrench (5-star)
  • OT David Sanders (5-star)
  • OT Solomon Thomas (5-star)
  • OT Micah DeBose (5-star)
  • DE Jared Smith (5-star)
  • DE Zion Grady (5-star)
  • LB Jadon Perlotte (5-star UGA commit)
  • TE Elyiss Williams (5-star UGA commit)
  • DL Isaiah Gibson (4-star)
  • RB Alvin Henderson (4-star)
  • DB Chris Ewald (4-star)
  • WR Koby Howard (4-star)
  • QB Tramell Jones (3-star Jamie Ffrench HS teammate and FSU commit)

Almost all of these guys attended and worked out at FSU’s Elite Camp last week. These players could have been anywhere else in the nation but chose to come to Tallahassee to get work in with the coaching staff while going up against some of the best players in their recruiting class. Most of these guys have already been at FSU several times and will likely continue to come to Tallahassee.

When you look at the 2024 recruiting, the commits are guys that have been to FSU over and over. FSU already flipped one five-star from UGA in this recruiting cycle, and those 2025 UGA commits to continue to show up on campus. It’s worth monitoring, especially if FSU football has the year we all expect on the field in 2023. FSU has one commitment aside from Tramell Jones in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Four-star WR DL Hardison is the other player. The coaching staff continues to lay the groundwork for back-to-back top recruiting classes and finally has the program in a position to maximize its recruitment. They have proof of concept on the field and can start developing relationships and evaluations much earlier than when they were losing games.
