FSU football: Why Noles defense should be top-tier in 2023
By Kelvin Hunt
Opposing Offenses
I ranked the top offenses the Noles would face in the 2023 season here. Aside from LSU and Duke, most teams will have either new quarterbacks or new offensive coordinators, or both.
FSU football will have the entire offseason to prepare for LSU, just as they did last year.
They’ll play Clemson in the fourth game of the year as they break in a new inexperienced QB and offensive coordinator. Southern Mississippi, Boston College, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Miami, Pittsburgh, and North Alabama ranked from bad to terrible last season.
The Noles will play Florida in the regular-season finale, and they don’t have much at QB or receiver, plus they will have a lot of new faces on their offensive line.
All of that is a recipe for the Noles to play off their offense, which should be one of the top units in the nation. Once FSU gets up a couple of scores, they’ll be able to pin their ears back and get after these one-dimensional offenses.
