FSU football currently ranks No. 9 in the 2024 247Sports Composite rankings, with 11 prospects committed to the class.

We at ChopChat continue our series, where we will be conducting recruiting Q&As with a variety of FSU targets/commits, with three-star linebacker commit Jayden Parrish.

The coaching staff has gotten themselves a certified playmaker at the linebacker position for their 2024 recruiting class in three-star Jayden Parrish from Atlantic High School in Delray Beach, Florida.

During his junior season, the talented defender had 153 tackles and four sacks.

Q: What do you like to do for fun when you are away from football?

A: ”When I’m away, I like to play video games or work out.”

Q: As you navigate through your upcoming senior season, what are some things that you would like to improve with your skill set?

A: ”I would like to improve my ball skills such as catching more interceptions as a senior.”

Q: You committed to FSU on April 3rd shortly after receiving an offer on March 27th. How was that moment like you and what stood out to you the most about the Seminoles?

A: “It was a special moment for me and my family because Florida State has always been one of my dream schools growing up and what stood out the most was me and Coach Shannon’s relationship and him being a straightforward person.”

Q: How is your relationship like with Coach Randy Shannon? What about the other 2024 FSU commits?

A: ”Mine and Coach Shannon’s relationship is great, and I don’t really conversate with any of the other commits, to be honest.”

Q: Do you have any visit plans to make a return trip to Tallahassee? Do you have any other visits to other schools that you want to take?

A: “No, I do not have any yet.”

Q: What are you most excited to see from FSU’s football team this season?

A: ”I am most excited to see FSU play LSU again and Miami.”

Q: When you talk to other recruits about FSU, what is your pitch to them?

A: “I tell them that the coaches are very straightforward with you. They all have good personalities and want the best version of you.”
