Pittsburgh is a team that will have a new look in 2023. They lost quarterback Kedon Slovis to the transfer portal but gained Phil Jurkovec from Boston College. Jurkovec has a lot of experience but will have to learn a new offense under second-year offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti Jr. Pittsburgh is a run-heavy team who averaged 4.57 yards per rush and scored 30 rushing touchdowns. Pitt lost their top receiver, Jared Wayne, who signed as a UDFA with the Houston Texans.

However, they return a trio of receivers, led by Konata Mumpfield, who had 58 receptions for 551 yards and one touchdown last season. They also lost their leading rusher, Israel Abanikanda, who got drafted in the fifth round of the NFL Draft by the New York Jets. However, they return some experience with Rodney Hammond, who rushed for 460 yards in eight games last year. Phil Jurkovec should be happy in 2023 as he’ll play behind an experienced offensive line, unlike the past two seasons at Boston College.
