LSU returns many ingredients to build on the foundation they started in year one under Brian Kelly. Jayden Daniels returns as the likely starter and will probably have a better offensive line than last year. That combination and continuity in the offense will be big. Daniels was the team’s leading rusher last year. How much of the load will they put on him with a stable of talented running backs and a more experienced offensive line?
However, the threat of Daniels running helped make the offense dynamic last year. LSU lost Kayshon Boutte and Jaray Jenkins to the NFL Draft, but they return Malik Nabers and sophomore tight-end Mason Taylor and a few other guys that got productive snaps last year. There’s no lack of talent on the offensive side, and they’ll have all offseason to prepare for the Noles. That goes both ways, but LSU will have more continuity compared to last year.
