FSU football: Four-star RB Christian Clark includes FSU in his top five
FSU football has a running back commitment in four-star Kameron Davis from Dougherty High School in Albany, Georgia, in their 2024 recruiting class. However, the Seminoles are open to acquiring another back to pair alongside him. Especially considering that if redshirt junior Trey Benson performs well during the 2023 season, he could enter the 2024 NFL Draft.
Two notable targets to monitor for this cycle are four-star Micahi Danzy from Florida High School in Tallahassee (FL) and four-star Christian Clark from Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix, Arizona.
On Thursday afternoon, Clark included Florida State in his top five schools list. It comes as no surprise since the talented running back prospect will utilize an official campus visit this weekend.
Unfortunately, FSU is the first official visit that the four-star back will take before visiting Oregon (June 9-11), Texas (June 16-18), and Georgia (June 23-25) later in the month. But it is nice to see that the Seminoles have at least put themselves in a position to have a chance in the recruitment. FSU offered him back on January 30, 2023.
Clark is no stranger to Florida State as his mom and uncle (Kenny Felder) attended the university. Felder was a quarterback and outfielder for the Seminoles from 1989-1991. But the Seminoles still have their hands full with the recruitment.
On3 senior national recruiting analyst Gerry Hamilton logged an expert prediction for Clark to land with the Texas Longhorns on April 16, 2023.
During his junior season, Clark had 103 rushing attempts for 737 yards and eleven touchdowns. His quickness, change of direction, and vision are traits that stand out about the highly-touted prospect.
But FSU has to make a huge impression this weekend on the playmaker to have a realistic chance in this one. Hopefully, running backs coach David Johnson can work his magic.
