FSU football

Record (10-3)

FEI offense ranking- No. 8

FEI defense ranking- No. 36

FEI overall ranking- No. 9

I can hear Clemson fans now. We’ve beaten FSU football seven consecutive times and play them at home this year. That’s true, but FSU returns more production on both sides of the ball than any team in the nation.

Not to mention, FSU added the best transfer portal class in the nation. FSU football lacked depth at some key positions the last two years, and that’s the only reason Clemson beat FSU in those games, aside from the turnover and the special team’s kickoff return in the second half. That will not be the case in 2023.

FSU will have the better offense, and arguably had the better defense last year(FSU allowed fewer ppg and fewer ypp, and were slightly better on third down conversions). The defense has more depth in the trenches and will return both starting linebackers.

FSU football has shown improvement every year under Mike Norvell, and there’s no reason why that shouldn’t continue with so much experience returning in 2023, especially with arguably the best QB in the ACC.
