Louisville

Record (8-5)

FEI offense ranking- No. 57

FEI defense ranking- No. 14

FEI overall ranking- No. 24

I found it hard to believe Scott Satterfield avoid getting fired after starting the season 2-2 with a loss against Boston College. Not to mention Louisville had to play games without QB Malik Cunningham, but somehow Louisville crept to an 8-5 finish. Some of that was beating bad teams, and playing NC State, who was without their starting QB. However, Satterfield left for another job, and Louisville hired hometown hero Jeff Brohm from Purdue.

They have a brand new coaching staff and one of the easiest schedules in the ACC. They don’t have to play FSU, Clemson, or North Carolina. Louisville’s defense was solid last year, aside from when FSU’s backup QB smoked them. However, I expect their offense to take a step forward under the offensive-minded Brohm and his brother(who’s the offensive coordinator), even though Malik Cunningham has moved on to the NFL.
