FSU football: Ranking the top ACC teams for the 2023 season

We’re about to find out just how good of a coach Dave Clawson is in 2023. They went 8-5 in a season where they returned almost all their players from the previous year when they won the ACC. Now they lost starting QB Sam Hartman and his favorite target A.T. Perry., and lots of super seniors who benefitted from the COVID season.

The defense wasn’t good to start with. How much of a step back will the offense take with a new QB? They will start the 2023 season with some gimmes, but they travel to Clemson and will play Pittsburgh and FSU in back-to-back weeks. They also travel to Notre Dame in the second to last game in the season. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Wake Forest take a step back this year, but it’ll depend on how much the other teams they face improve.
