Pittsburgh

Record (9-4)

FEI offense ranking- No. 68

FEI defense ranking- No. 22

FEI overall ranking- No. 42

It’s crazy how Pittsburgh and Duke had the same record but went about things very differently. Duke relied on its offense, and Pitt relied on its defense, as Pitt defeated Duke 28-26 in their head-to-head meeting last year.

Aside from a loss against Georgia Tech, Pitt took care of business against the teams they should have beaten. They lost QB Kedon Slovis to the transfer portal, but got Phil Jurkovec to transfer from Boston College. Pat Narduzzi is a defensive-minded coach that likes to run the ball.

They have a decent schedule, with games agaisnt North Carolina, Louisville, and FSU at home. However, they have to travel to West Virginia, Notre Dame, and Wake Forest. Pitt has been a 7-9 win team with Narduzzi for the most part. It’ll be interesting to see what they do with this schedule.
