FSU football: 2025 five-star WR taking a visit in June
I can hear FSU football fans now: “Why are we discussing about a 2025 prospect? I don’t care about the recruitment until his name hits the dotted line.”
While some recruitments seem to change each and every day, it is never too early to pursue elite talent that could change the trajectory of a football program. That is what Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell has continuously put on display during his time in Tallahassee. At this point, the Seminoles already have two verbal commitments in their 2025 recruiting class in four-star wide receiver DL Hardison and three-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr.
The Seminoles continue to lure highly-touted prospects to their campus as Class of 2025 five-star wide receiver target Jaime Ffrench Jr. from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida, announced via his Twitter account that he will visit Florida State on June 9th. The Mike Norvell Football Camp will have its individual camp event on that date from 4:00 PM to 6:05 PM at the FSU Football Practice Fields.
Ffrench’s recruitment remains significant for FSU football. Several highly regarded teams are involved in the pass catcher’s services, such as Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Florida, Miami, Michigan, LSU, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee, and Texas A&M. The most important factor for the Seminoles is that his current high school teammate and the quarterback is FSU commit Tramell Jones Jr.
While “package deals” may be an overused term in high school football recruiting, Ffrench did record 44 receptions for 671 yards last season when Jones Jr. was his quarterback. Both prospects will be heading into their junior seasons, and their chemistry will only improve as they continue to grow and develop together.
Along with Ffrench, Florida State will have its sights set on acquiring high-quality wide receiver prospects such as five-star Caleb Cunningham and four-star Dallas Wilson (Oregon commit).
