Kentron Poitier

Kentron Poitier arrived in Tallahassee as part of the 2020 transition class under Mike Norvell. A three-star project, who had only just started playing football but possessed incredible size and length.

It took time, but Poitier made some plays in the 2022 season opener before disappearing for multiple games. However, he began to flash more in the second half of the season, with notable touchdown receptions against Syracuse and Florida.

In fact, over half of his production came in the final six games of the regular season. The departures of Ontaria Wilson and an injury to Mycah Pittman this spring provided more practice reps for Poitier, and it paid off.

It was a scrimmage, but Poitier had a big-time spring game, a continuation of what he had been doing all spring camp.

I think the coaching staff pushing him, self-belief and understanding of the opportunities will be there in 2023 if he goes and gets them helped Poitier improve more than any other player. He had 14 receptions for 283 yards and four touchdowns in 2022.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him nab 25-30 receptions for nearly 500 yards in 2023.
