Parting Thoughts

The series win for the Noles was a statement win for the ACC and for everyone else nationally. Clemson came into the series with a much better record, but FSU proved strength of schedule is a factor in preparing your team throughout the season.

Not to mention five of FSU’s seven losses have been by one run, and four were against teams ranked top 15 or higher.

The series win propels the Noles back into sole possession of first place in the ACC. Virginia Tech and Louisville lost games this week and have four losses each in the conference.

Virginia Tech is the only ranked ACC team left on the schedule, and that series will be on the road later this month. Again, FSU has already proven its mettle on the road against top programs, and that will be another opportunity.

FSU will be back in action Wednesday, April 12, when they host Jacksonville before hosting Virginia in ACC action that weekend. Congrats to FSU softball for the huge series win!
