Final Thoughts and Honorable Mentions

A couple of other players consistently hear their names called by coaches after practice. South Carolina transfer Gilber Edmonds is someone the coaches like a lot. He’ll be an important player this year and has stood out in practice.

Freshman KJ Kirkland is another freshman that hasn’t played like a freshman throughout spring camp. He’ll likely play snaps this year.

Omarion Cooper looks to have made the transition to safety without many issues. If he can hold that spot down, FSU won’t have to visit the transfer portal for a safety.

Winston Wright Jr. looks like he’s fully recovered from the auto accident last year and will be a factor in 2023.

FSU coaches hit on nearly all of the players they took from the transfer portal. I don’t think they took anyone that’s questionable or can’t help the team win in 2023.

This is the deepest and most talented team since the 2017 season, but they will likely have a better offense than what we thought the 2017 team would have even before the injury to Deondre Francois. Man, things might be getting spooky in Tallahassee again!
