Parting Thoughts

Jordan Pride is currently a soft commit, as he has other big-time offers from schools like Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Texas A&M, and others. Hopefully, he sticks with FSU, but if he decides to move on, that opens the door for players like Jarvis Boatwright, who just visited FSU recently, and Fred Gaskin III. Having Patrick Surtain Sr on the coaching staff should positively impact recruiting these guys.

On the offensive side, there are some players to watch like OT Jonathan Daniels, who has the perfect build for a left tackle. Also, John Wayne Oliver (awesome name) is another intriguing tackle prospect, who has great size and room to grow physically. Bringing in only two high school offensive linemen last recruiting cycle, I look for FSU to add more depth to the team even though they got a haul in the transfer portal.

At this point, Florida State sits fourth in the team rankings according to Rivals.com, fourth by 247 Sports, and sixth by On3. I think the Noles will finish in the top 5 this season as top recruits are visiting FSU this spring, and that will continue. Coach Norvell has done a great job in year three at developing relationships and showing FSU is climbing back to the top. The players have bought in, and now that’s bleeding over to the recruits.
